Before his sudden passing in January of 2021, Thomas Schmitt specialized in individual and corporate taxation and Internal Revenue Service taxpayer resolution in the Mayville and Greater Milwaukee Wisconsin communities. He has also provided many other professional services for his clients including but not limited to: Bankruptcy reporting, financial statement review, individual tax consulting, asset management, business start-up, business liquidation business and personal asset valuation and the preparation of business plans.
As a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants for more than 25 years, Tom was extremely involved and has offered his experience and dedication to the State Tax Conference committee, which he chaired in 2006, and The Wisconsin Public Policy Tax Committee.
Tom also strived to serve the community organizations where he lives and works. He is a current member and Past President of Rotary International of Mayville, WI. He also is a current director and Treasurer of The Business Improvement District 10 in Milwaukee, WI. Tom also served on the boards of South Side Guadalupe, Inc., Smoke Free, Inc., Dodge County United Way, and USA Rugby, Inc.
Thomas Schmitt left a lasting impression in the hearts and minds of everyone at The VanderBloemen Group. He is greatly missed by not only the staff, his business partners, colleagues, clients, family, and friends but also by the communities which he served.
