John P. VanderBloemen, CPA

John P. VanderBloemen, partner, has thirty years of experience including twenty-two years in public accounting servicing privately-owned companies (primarily in the construction industry) and eight years as a CFO/controller/accountant with two privately-held construction companies.

As partner, his responsibilities include planning, supervising and reviewing staff work on attestation engagements which include audits, reviews and compilations. He is also responsible for tax compliance, tax planning, and consulting on IRS and state tax audits; and as an outside financial advisor for privately-owned companies.

As CFO and Controller, his responsibilities included monthly preparation of financial statements; preparation of budgets and forecasts; organizing and providing information to outside auditors and ESOP valuation; all human resource functions; working with the insurance and surety providers with annual renewals and negotiating pricing; assisting project managers with their monthly costs to complete estimates; and supervising and guiding the accounting staff of the company.
