The merger of these two CPA/ Business Advisory firms adds even more tax and financial capabilities and experience for their clients

For 40 years, Mr. Foy has been serving the tax and financial needs of business owners and individuals in the Fond du Lac area. Ed graduated from Michigan Technological University with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration (Accounting).

In 1981, Ed became a founding partner of Huberty and Associates, CPA’s. In May of 1986, Ed began the current firm with Mark Sondergard, CPA. In 1998 when Mark left public accounting, Deb Springborn, CPA, was added to the firm. Since 2017, it has been the firm of Edward L. Foy, CPA, S.C.

Mr. Foy is highly regarded in the accounting profession and the business community. He is a member of the Wisconsin Institute of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. Ed is committed to community service in Fond du Lac County serving as a current member and former Distinguished Club President (a national honor) of the Exchange Club of Fond du Lac. Ed has also been a board member for the City of Fond du Lac Housing Authority, a board member and chairman for the St. Francis Nursing Home, treasurer for the initial Samaritan Clinic house raffle, and treasurer for the Hospice Hope/Cancer Care golf outing. He has served as a member of the audit committee for the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce and was a member of the Fond du Lac Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors.

The merger of these firms will enable our clients as well as the communities we serve to benefit from the additional range of services the merged firm provides. The new firm will be named The VanderBloemen/ Hietpas/Foy Group, LLP. The firm will have offices in Fond du Lac, Mayville, Juneau, Waukesha, and Mequon, Wisconsin, as well as Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
