UPDATE: PPP2 and Partnership Income

We have noted that in some 2nd round Paycheck Protection Program (PPP2) applications for partnerships filers, are needing to be updated due to the self-employment calculation for the partners amount to be used in the payroll calculation.

Congress Passes the CARES Act

To help keep small businesses afloat, the CARES Act provides that businesses with fewer than 500 employees, including sole proprietors and nonprofits, will have access to nearly $350 billion in loans through the Small Business Act during the “covered period.”
